Privacy Policy

CE Equipment Solutions ("we," "us," or "our") is the data controller for personal data collected through this website (the "Site"). We are based in Cork, Ireland, and provide EU authorised representative services to business clients.

This policy explains what data the Site collects, why, and what rights you have — in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018, and, for visitors in the United States, the state privacy laws described in section 09. Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors find and use the Site — which pages are read, how long people stay, and which guides lead to quotation requests. It can set the following cookies in your browser, but only after you click "Accept" in the cookie banner:

• _ga — gives your browser a random identifier so that repeat visits are counted as one visitor rather than several. Expires 2 years after your last visit.
• _ga_M6GKDKMYGB — keeps track of your current browsing session on the Site. Expires 2 years after your last visit.
• cookie_consent — remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies, so we do not ask again on every page. Strictly necessary, set by us, expires after 6 months.

Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify you by name. Google Analytics does not log or store your IP address; it is used only momentarily to work out an approximate location (city or region). We have not enabled Google Signals or any advertising features, so analytics data is not linked to your Google account and is not used to show you ads.

If you decline, Google Analytics runs in cookieless mode: it sets no cookies and uses no persistent identifier, and we receive only aggregate signals — enough to count page views, not to recognise your browser on a later visit.

Changing your choice. You can give or withdraw consent at any time via Cookie settings, also linked in the footer of every page. Declining removes any analytics cookies already set. You can additionally install Google's opt-out browser add-on or block cookies in your browser settings. The Site works fully without analytics cookies.

Contact form submissions. When you request a quotation or send us a message, we collect the details you enter: your name, email address, company name, the role you select, and the content of your message.

Technical log data. Our hosting provider automatically records standard server logs when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. We use these only to serve the Site and keep it secure.

Analytics data. With your consent (see section 02), Google Analytics collects the pages you visit, when and for how long, how you arrived (for example, from a search engine or a link), whether you start and complete the document readiness check (the number of documents marked ready, not your individual answers), your approximate location, and technical details such as browser, device type, and screen size — all tied to the random cookie identifier described above rather than to your name.

• Steps prior to a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): we process your form submission to respond to your enquiry and prepare the quotation you asked for.
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): analytics cookies are set only after you accept them in the cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer, and the same applies if you separately agree to receive marketing from us.
• Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): we process technical log data to operate the Site, maintain security, and prevent abuse, and — whether or not you accept cookies — aggregate, cookieless analytics signals to understand how the Site is used and improve it.
• Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): we retain certain records where Irish law requires it.

We do not use your data for marketing unless you separately agree to it, and we do not make automated decisions about you.

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the service providers that make the Site work:

• Netlify hosts the Site and stores contact form submissions on our behalf. Netlify, Inc. is a US company; transfers are safeguarded under its data processing terms, including Standard Contractual Clauses (see Netlify's privacy policy).
• Google (Google LLC, USA) provides Google Analytics and processes analytics data on our behalf under its data processing terms. How Google handles that data is described in Google's privacy policy and its page on how Google uses data from sites that use its services.

Beyond that, we disclose data only if required by law, or to professional advisors (such as accountants or auditors) under confidentiality obligations.

Because our hosting and analytics providers operate infrastructure in the United States, your data may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards under Chapter V of the GDPR, such as certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.

• Contact form submissions: for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any engagement that follows, and up to 5 years afterwards for record-keeping.
• Technical logs: retained by our hosting provider for a short operational period, then deleted or anonymised.
• Analytics data: Google Analytics keeps visitor-level data for 14 months, after which only aggregated statistics remain. The analytics cookies expire 2 years after your last visit.

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you, and receive a copy;
• have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
• have your data erased, subject to legal retention obligations;
• restrict or object to our processing of your data, including analytics;
• receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format;
• withdraw any consent you have given, at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@cees.ie. We respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish supervisory authority, the Data Protection Commission.

Most of our clients are American manufacturers, and the Site is available across the United States. A growing number of states — California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Texas among them — give their residents specific privacy rights. Whether or not those laws apply to a business of our size, we follow their core principles:

• We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. Analytics data is used only to measure how the Site is used.
• You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and we will not treat you differently for exercising those rights.
• You can opt out of analytics at any time using the methods in section 02.

To make a request, email info@cees.ie with "Privacy request" in the subject line. We will confirm the request through the email address you used with us and respond within 45 days.

The Site is served over HTTPS, so data you submit is encrypted in transit. Access to form submissions is limited to the people who need it to respond to you, and our hosting provider applies its own technical and organisational security measures.

The Site is directed at business users and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16; if you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

The Site links to external websites — official EU legislation on EUR-Lex, regulatory guidance, and partner sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices; review their policies before providing any personal data there.

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the law or in how the Site works. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be flagged prominently on the Site.
