Who we are
We're CE Equipment — a specialist team based in Cork, Ireland, working with manufacturers in the United States and beyond. Through our consultancy, CE Equipment Solutions, we've been helping businesses achieve CE compliance since 2015 — particularly for products under the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU, and the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU. This website is our standalone Authorized Representative service: the same team, dedicated to being your legal presence in Europe.
Why an Authorized Representative?
Since Regulation (EU) 2019/1020 — the Market Surveillance Regulation — most products that require CE marking can't be placed on the EU market by a non-EU manufacturer without a responsible economic operator established in Europe. The General Product Safety Regulation (EU) 2023/988 extended that requirement to most consumer products. An Authorized Representative is that operator: we hold your EU Declaration of Conformity and technical file, our name and address go on your labeling, and we act as your contact point for market surveillance authorities across all 27 member states.
